Ryan's mom brought over his baby collection this weekend - booties, books, pics, and stuffed animals. Our jaws dropped when we saw Ryan's brown dog...I had the same one as a baby - but in yellow. We were meant to be (but we already knew that!).

Week 26

Its beginning to look a lot like xmas! Due to lack of space with all the wedding and baby stuff Ryan and I decided on a small xmas tree this year - so much easier to decorate!! Its a living tree so lets see if we can keep it alive long enough for next year.

I'm starting to feel as large as some of the animals we saw at the zoo last weekend! haha. But I'm loving every minute of it - I just laugh at how difficult it is becoming to do simple things like getting up off of the couch.

Family Fun Day

Ok, I know this is a slightly inappropriate picture but it turns out it was the only picture I took the entire day. On Saturday Nov. 8th my company (what's left of it) had a family fun day at the San Diego Zoo. We had just finished looking at the reptiles when I heard what I thought sounded like a cow moo'ing. So Ryan and I headed down the walk to find this determined giant male tortoise on top of some poor lady tortoise who wanted nothing to do with him. After a few laughs we left them alone and went to see the gorillas wake up for the day. All in all it was a great day and we can't wait to spend many more days at the zoo once our little girl arrives!

Tonight Dad felt his daughter kick for the first time. She's on a roll tonight after a meal of YUMMY perogies (seems to be my go-to food lately)!

Saturday Oct. 19 - Halloween Fun

Ryan and I spent Friday night carving pumpkins and roasting pumpkin seeds. For once we were really proud of our jack-o-lanterns (thanks to stencils). Saturday night we went out to see the Mother Hips play and the WaveHouse - and came back to eaten pumpkins. Since Tandy stays in a crate - all signs pointed to Mr. Roscoe. To keep the laughs going, we dressed Tandy up in a 100% natural pumpkin costume! good times. Guess we have to go out and get some more pumpkins to decorate...

Week 19 - Second Ultrasound

IT'S A GIRL!!!!! Our little one must love Starbursts, because she was kicking and moving today (note to self: never give her those when she's a toddler!)! She showed us that she's a she, and then like a lady, neatly crossed her little legs. She was moving so much that I was actually able to feel her kick for the first time. What a great day! :) Below are a few pics of our little girl...enjoy!

Week 19

Week 18 - First Ultrasound

Ryan and I went to our first Sonogram appointment today to find out the sex of the baby. However after 36 oz of water, 2 trips to the bathroom because my bladder was twice the size it needed to be (so why did they make me drink all that water then?), and a can of coke (boy did I get stares from the other preggo's in the waiting room!!), baby lannon was still being stubborn. Even after all that caffeine the little one wouldn't turn over to show us who he/she was. We got a few waves hello, a couple of kicks, and quite a few views of his/her backside, but that was it. Guess the yoga has made the baby too relaxed! So we're back to the doctor on Monday...stay tuned!!

Week 16

Thanks to our friend Mel we can hear the baby's heartbeat whenever we want (which has become a nightly ritual)! Since our camera is broken, this week you get to see a video instead of the standard bump picture.

Week 14

Finally! I've gotten some of my energy back. I've been able to get back to the gym for some cardio and have start pre-natal yoga.

Week 12

My it goes by fast! Can't believe we're already on to the 2nd trimester. Jen is starting to get her energy back, but the nausea is still hanging on strong. Hopefully that will pass soon as well. Here's the first of many baby bump pictures...

We're having a Baby!!

On the 4th of July we found out I'm pregnant! The first test I took didn't look like there was much of a second line - the second was the same. So, for the third one we made it the 'control' group. We were so thrilled! Needless to say, there wasn't going to be any wine and beer for me at the bbq that afternoon!

After 11 years of dating Ryan and I were married on June 21, 2008 at the absolutely beautiful Leo Carillo Ranch in Carlsbad, CA. Although a bit hot, it was a perfect day filled with love, laughter, tears. Thank you to all of our family and friends who shared this very special day with us!
